P2 6 Falling kingdom- A Minecraft Parody of Earth's Gravitational Well

Abstract

The video game Minecraft portrays a world that is very different to our own. We perform an
experiment to determine the local gravitational field strength of the Minecraft world and subsequently determine the Minecraft gravitational constant using an infinite slab approximation. The
gravitational constant is estimated as G = (1.220 ± 0.024) × 10⁻⁵ N m²kg^-2.
