Abstract
We have designed a theoretical mag-lev NASCAR to see how it would compete on several NASCAR
tracks. Our car performed poorly compared to NASCAR records on each track, due to the cen-
tripetal acceleration being the result of the incline of the banked turns on NASCAR tracks. The
cars performance could be drastically improved by including a turning mechanism similar to ones
mag-lev trains have.
