Abstract
In this paper, we calculated the magnitude that an earthquake would need to be to release more energy than the Earth's gravitational binding energy, destroying the planet. We found this magnitude to be 18.83 on the Moment Magnitude Scale (the Richter Scale's successor).Downloads
