Abstract

Droplets of a fluid confined between two plates can be used as a diverging lens, for which the radiusof curvature at each interface is related to the desired lens power and the plate separation. However, this lens system is flawed by a limited field of view and distorted image due to gravitational effectsand the droplet curvature in 3D.
