Abstract

We look into whether or not a house can be lifted up by balloons, for both a model for the house used in the film “Up” and for a common house in the United Kingdom, and find that the number of balloons required to lift them are 9.53×106 and 3.08×108 balloons respectively. However, we also briefly look at the downfalls of such an idea in the real world.
