Single Stage to Orbit

Abstract

This paper is intended to demonstrate the feasibility of a fully reusable single-stage-to-orbit (SSTO) rocket powered vehicle using conventional rocket motors. It is shown that rocket motors with a thrust to launch weight ratio of between 1.5 and 2 would be adequate to allow a single stage rocket to reach low earth orbit.
